That is what is most impressive throughout the Ten Quick Writes. One of my weaknesses as a teacher is my enjoymentof the extracurricular also...Does this ever interfe re with your teaching? It does mine...I use the time I could be writing with the students to do other things (like that yearbook I referred to earlier!).
I also appreciate the title references...last year within our district, our department decided to teach by theme...but with very little monetary support, so I am always looking for good anchor pieces.

I am anxious about finding sufficient anchor pieces. Maybe we could include another page on here to share specific pieces that we come across. It is a little overwhelming starting out, even with those that I will be stealing...I mean, borrowing from the book.

Great idea! I would love spot at which to "anchor" texts. I'm still learning wiki-land...I know we can do a del.icio.us...and the links are right there to the sources. Do you have one of these? I too have just started adding sites to del.icio.us. While I am attempting to keep things organized and easy to access, I fear that some of the great sites I find will be lost. Quick question...so on del.idio.us, we can make folders to place articles in? That would greatly help in keeping the articled organized.

Yes. Go to the sidebar (right) where it is listing all your 'tags'. Click on 'bundle tags' under the tag options and then follow the directions from there. Once you have created a bundle name, then you are simply clicking on the tags that you want to include in that bundle(folder). I hope that helps.

Great ideas, ladies. I'm adding a page now for anchor texts. On the page, we could all add our del.icio.us user names. Also, if everyone tags the texts with the same phrase, it might be helpful. Can we all agree to tag them with "anchortexts"?

I think the anchor texts are a great idea. I'll get my del.icio.us all set up with the bundle and subscribe your accounts. It is probably not a bad idea to include articles that we think would be useful as models, which Penny describes in chapter 6. I remember reading that part and thinking where am I going to find all these models, too?
